Socialism IS the Agenda

It's too bad the Obama Admisistration and Democrats in general don't speak the plain truth like Howard Dean does in this 4/5/09 video. I guess it's ok to talk openly to the French about socialism and the left's plan to drive the U.S. deeper into it. Now, I know there are many who voted for this president who wish they could have thier vote back. Hopefully we can hang on and make it to the mid-term elections when we can regain enough seats to slow down the socialism jet. I would say socialism train but we're moving at warp speed. Lefties, do yourself and your country a favor, help us defeat health care, cap and tax, and everything else this administration is attempting to do.

Last Chance for My America?

As I watch the 9/12 rally and march on Washington DC, I have a sad feeling within me because I'm afraid that this could very possibly be America's last opportunity to right itself from her slow decent into Socialism. If concerned citizens are unsuccessful in stopping Congress and our President from continuing on their current path, I don't know if we will ever have another chance to reverse direction. If politicians continue to ignore the obvious will of the people and push through their socialist agendas, beginning with a National Health Care program, then our voices just don't carry that much weight as apposed to political favors and pay backs. Even Republicans in Congress are having a difficult time taking a stand against the flow and pressure to conform. I believe the system (the political machine) is corrupt. It has had so much free reign for so many years that "We The People" don't even understand the totality of the problem.

I'm reminded of my dad, who, like many men of his generation, fought for Americas freedom in WWII. He never talked about his time spent as a PFC in the infantry, just calling it WWII or "The Big One". But this I do know: He was inducted into service June 21st, 1944 and returned to the United States on August 29th, 1945. He was assigned as a specialty anti-tank crewman, part of the 10th infantry. He fought in battles and campaigns in the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. By the time he was discharged he received The Victory Medal of the American Theater, The European, African, & Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, including 3 Bronze Battle Stars. He received an Overseas Service Bar, Good Conduct Medal and the Medal of Army Occupation, Germany.

My dad died of lung cancer in 1998. On his death bed, under the influence of pain medication, his mind brought him back to "THE BIG ONE". He finally said a few words of his time serving his Country. "Hup, Two, Three, Four!", he would say. "Those who have two good legs, help them with one", he said......................... I miss him, he was a great patriot who flew the American Flag in his front yard every day, illuminated at night.

My dad died well before the terrorist attacks on 9/11, and he never saw the slide of his country into Socialism and the weakening of our defenses. If he were alive today, I would be standing beside him on the front lawn of the White House, once again fighting for the freedom of the United States of America!

Left Scores One

I'm tempted to give the Obama administration credit for pulling one over on the talking heads of the right. After the administration released some details of the Presidents speech and lesson plan for school children, conservatives reacted strongly. The core of the matter was the proposed lesson plan that would have students ask themselves "What can I do to help the President achieve his goals."
Quite naturally, everyone went off on that. We're pretty skeptical of the motives of the President because he has taken this country on a wild ride to the far left. We were concerned prior to his election about his socialistic tendencies and lack of media research on his questionable associations of the past. Since his election, we believe our concerns are justified by the actions he has taken thus far. We all know that in order to change the future, you need to capture the young and the younger, the better. So, here we are with a President asking students to help him rather than pledging allegiance to the United States of America.
So here's the deal. The President's speech turns out to be totally innocuous and the lesson plan is changed to asking students to write about how they can achieve their short-term and long-term goals. The talking heads of the left are using the opportunity to make right sided heads look like over-reacting alarmists by airing clips of comments made prior to the lesson change and then comparing that to the revised speech. To the viewers of these shows (there aren't that many any more) we may have come off as looking kind of petty. So for this, I just might give Obama coo-dos for pulling off a bait-and-switch on the right!

Just as a side note: Glen Beck said that Keith Oberman was going to dig up dirt on him because Van Jones was forced to resign. I watched Keith's show to see what he got so far. Keith said, what more can we tell you, what can be worse than this, the fact that he (Glen) is "Glen Beck"! Hmm.........

Who's a Coward? Save your Babies.

Eric Holder, our newly appointed Attorney General, made a controversial statement in a speech yesterday. He said " in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards." I read the whole text of his speech because I didn't want to make any judgment based on a news clip. Eric said "Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race. It is an issue we have never been at ease with,... And yet, if we are to make progress in this area we must feel comfortable enough with one another, and tolerant enough of each other, to have frank conversations about the racial matters that continue to divide us. We have done a pretty good job in melding the races in the workplace. We work with one another, lunch together and, when the event is at the workplace during work hours or shortly thereafter, we socialize with one another fairly well, irrespective of race. And yet even this interaction operates within certain limitations. We know, by "American instinct" and by learned behavior, that certain subjects are off limits and that to explore them risks, at best embarrassment, and, at worst, the questioning of one’s character. And outside the workplace the situation is even more bleak in that there is almost no significant interaction between us. On Saturdays and Sundays America in the year 2009 does not, in some ways, differ significantly from the country that existed some 50 years ago."

He used the rest of his speech to build a case for, what I took to be, a need for a National Black History Education Program. As he put it, "Black history is a subject worthy of study by all our nation's people."

Isn't this just another "We are the victims" speech? This is exactly what we need to get past! Stop telling black people the cards are stacked against them, they can't win, they won't make it, America hasn't arrived yet, we don't want them to succeed! STOP!!

Look at every other ethnic class in the United States, there are many. The social interactions between each other is pretty much the same. You're right Eric, we get together very well in the work place and sometimes those friendships extend beyond our work. What's wrong with that? Why are you saying we don't socialize outside of the workplace enough with the black race? It's time to put the race card away and get to work.

Why couldn't you focus on the number one killer of African Americans, ABORTION. As President Obama wages war against life in the womb, do you care that for every 1000 black women, 50 have abortions? Do Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or Charles Rangel care? And what happens when someone tries to reach out to these women in love and offer them an alternative? The Reverend Walter Hoye, a black pastor, will be sentenced today, which could amount to two years in prison and $4,000 in fines, for standing outside an inner city abortion clinic holding a sign and offering pro-life literature. This story is an amazing travesty of justice. And you, Mr. Holder, will stand by and do nothing!

Who is a Coward?

Watch this video as Clinic escorts block Rev. Hoye's sign with blank signs to prevent women from seeing his message: 'God loves you and your baby. Let us help.'

Welcome Back Dave!

I see my last post was October 08. That's when I resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama was going to win the election over John McCain. I didn't go into depression, I went into "cautious optimism". I was accepting Barack as my President and was hopefully optimistic that the concerns I had about him would prove to be unfounded. Like many others, I told myself to give him some time, just wait and see what he actually does. After all, he hadn't really "done" anything while he was in his Senate seat and he was never pressed to give answers to tough questions during the campaign (thanks to his liberal media followers). So why not sit back and wait for the newly elected messiah to make a few real decisions? His true self will be exposed soon enough! RIGHT???

OMG! WOW! Slow down Barack! You have at least 4 years! You don't have to change the world in your first 30 days!

To be very honest, I'm worried that the damage done to America by Barack Obama will be irreversable by the time he leaves office. This will not be the Land of the Free anymore! We have some very hard work ahead of us if we want to preserve our Nation.
